Babysitting

BABYSITTING is available race day.  It will be on site, steps from the start and finish and run by certified babysitters with an adult monitor. Flat fee of $5 and available from 7:15 a.m. until the race ends. Contact mbmarvich@yahoo.com

Training for the 5K

 We have the following training sessions open to the public


Saturdays @ 9:30. This Saturday, May 26th, we will meet at Queen of Apostles school and run the 5k course wiht a race clock to set a time.  


Fridays and Mondays@ 3:20 This week we will meet on Tuesday 5/29 at 3:20 in the school lobby as Monday is a holiday.

About Us

We invite you to participate in our drive to promote general fitness and an active lifestyle for kids and families alike. The school community will run the race to mark the end of a 10 week training plan. Please join us in preparing and running to kick off to summer to get FIT NOW.

Course

The race start and finish are located on the grounds of Queen of Apostles School.  The race and fun run courses wind through residential side street neighboring school.

Packet Pickup

•  Friday, June 8th from 3-7 pm @ Queen of Apostles Catholic School

• Saturday, June 9th from 6:30-7:30 AM @ Queen of Apostles Catholic School

Race Awards

• Top 3 Male and Female Overall-5K
• Age Group Awards-5k
• Random Category Awards-100th finisher, fastest student, faster parent and child, etc.
• Ribbons to all finishers of the 1 mile fun run
• Awards and refreshments upon the race finish

 Race day Information

• Rain or Shine
• There will be 1 water stop pm the 5k Course
• For the safety of all participants, no headphones, animals, in-line skates, skateboards, baby strollers, bicycles, or roller blades (in-line skates) are permitted

Timing 

Transponder timing provided by Amazing Race Timing will be used to score the 5k race. The system uses the Chronotrack B-tag which is attached to runners' bib and records he exact time a runner crosses the starting line and the finish line, resulting in a net time for each runner.  The B-Tag is disposable. Overall awards will be based upon clock time and age groups awards will be based upon transponder times.
